Although the Dolan Fire is technically only considered 98 percent contained, firefighters there say the fire is “out”. They have been patrolling (looking for hot spots) for the last week, and have not come across any. The final 2 percent (where there is no fire line) is in steep rugged terrain, and so it’s been deemed not necessary to complete that section of fire line. Crews are working to repair roads, cut back trees, and attend to other dangers that could be a risk to the public….before the los padres national forest is re-opened to the public.
