County Money Set Aside For Food 10-01-20A 09:41 S.S.

Due  to  the  food  insecurity  that  has  come  from  loss  of  jobs  during  the  pandemic,  the  Monterey County  Board  Of Supervisors  voted  to  set aside  almost  $7 million  of  Cannabis  Tax  dollars  to help  emergency  response  programs  in  the  county.   One of  those  programs  is  the  Monterey  County  Food  Bank,  which  has  just received  a  quarter  million  dollars.  For  information  on upcoming  food  distributions,  people  can  go  on-line  to:  FoodBankForMontereyCounty.org
