The country’s largest marijiuana growing region, which is in northern California, is threatened by the largest wildfire in California history. That’s the 839,175 acre August Complex fire burning in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties. More than 1800 firefighters are working on this wildfire, which is at 30% containment. The firefighters come from all over California, as well as Utah, Montana, Texas, and New Jersey. This wildfire is on-track to potentially become the state’s first million acre wildfire…..which would be double the size of the 2018 Mendocino Complex fire that burned in Lake and Mendocino counties.
