Yesterday afternoon, Cal-Fire said that, effective immediately, the CZU Lightning Complex Evacuation Orders have been reduced to an Evacuation Warning for areas in Santa Sruz county. They further said that the following zones on the east edge of Bear Creek can now re-populate. They are BOU ZONES 8a, 13, 25, 26, and CRZ-14b.
Bear Creak Road is closed just west of Keller Drive.
Residents are reminded to exercise caution while emergency vehicles continue to operate within the area. A Resource Assistance Center has been established at 140 Front Street in Santa Cruz….and is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
