Some people in Salinas were asked to close all doors and windows and shelter-in-place yesterday afternoon, because of a gas leak. The leak was caused when a construction crew working near Cherokee Circle, Seville Street, Cuevas Circle, and Cadiz Circle, struck a 4-inch gas line. The area was closed to vehicle traffic as the gas line was capped-off, and repaired.
