A Santa Cruz County Supervisor has asked the board to dedicate at least $1 million dollars to rent and utility assistance for residents in unincorporated Santa Cruz County.
The supervisor said there are not enough funds coming from stimulus or unemployment checks to support the high cost of living in Santa Cruz county.
The board of supervisors will vote on the proposal at the budget hearing next week.
