Santa Cruz Sheriff’s deputies are investigating what appears to be a pipe bomb found during a traffic stop earlier today.
According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Ashley Keehn:
“Currently we are investigating what appears to be a pipe bomb that was found in a car during a traffic stop. The area has been evacuated and the bomb team is coming in to investigate the device.”
The Sheriff’s department promises updates with new information.
