Salinas City Council members plan to fill-in as mayor until a new mayor takes office there. That after Mayor Joe Gunter died Monday night. City council members now expect to rotate serving as mayor on a quarterly basis, starting with District 5 city councilwoman Christie Cromeenes….who will act as mayor until early October.
