There are detours in place around a section of Main Street in Salinas, and they are expected to remain there through at least Monday. That’s because when crews (that were installing a new water main between West Alisal and San Luis Streets when they found ‘unstable underground conditions’. For Public Safety reasons, that section of Main Street will stay closed to the public until the site can be stabilized, and the water main work completed.
