The Land Trust Of Santa Cruz County is working to protect a ranch that’s just south of Highway 101, in the aromas area. The 26 hundred and 40 acre Rocks Ranch straddles the San Benito-Monterey county line, and the land would be preserved as Open Space, except for where a wildlife corridor is planned. The Bingaman family will retain ownership of an adjoining 60-acre parcel where they plan to develop the land, however, due to the geography of the area the wildlife crossing would be shielded from any of that development.
