Changes went into effect over the weekend that reduce bus service in Monterey county. Monterey Salinas Transit has eliminated a number of different bus routes, including service to and around the presidio of Monterey. The lines that have been eliminated are: number 67 from Marina, number 69 from the Del Monte Center, and the mst shuttle service within the Presidion. The bus lines from San Jose, Santa Cruz, and Big Sur will also no longer serve the Presidio. Many other changes were also made to routing and trip times, and people are encouraged to check all schedules that could impact them. There will still be White Bus Services around the base during peak hours.
Here’s a list from MST of the lines that will be changed or modified:
–Line 22: Major routing change. No service into Presidio of Monterey.
