More housing has been approved for the El Rancho Toro Farmworker Housing Complex just outside of Salinas. The new addition is designed to include eight 2-thousand square-foot buildings. They are expected to house 16 people per structure (with kitchen and dining areas, as well as a community room and a laundry room). This facility will be part of a growing trend of employer-sponsored housing in the Salinas Valley. 2 of the others are: Tanimura and Antle’s farmworker housing in Spreckels; and the Nunes Brothers’ housing in Boronda.
