The Capitola Wharf was closed earlier today. That’s because a crane there suffered structural damage as the result of high waves. Although there is believed to be no threat to people, some structures are at risk, such as the Wharf House Restaurant and the Capitola Bait Shop. The Capitola Wharf is expected to remain closed until both the crane and the Wharf are inspected, and are either deemed safe or are repaired.
