Reportedly, the reason that Cesar Chavez Middle School in Watsonville is cold these days is because there have been several gas leaks in the building, so the heating system has been shut down. Officials with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District say that repairs are scheduled to begin tomorrow, and are expected to continue throughout the weekend. As a long term goal, a district spokesperson says they want to replace all of the gas lines in the aging building.
