A 55 year-old Salinas man has been sentenced to 45 days in jail, and 3 years probation. That after he was found to have an illegal cannabis cultivation operation in which his workers neither had workers compensation insurance nor had their unemployment taxes withheld.
The Monterey County District Attorney‘S office says that although the man had documents showing he was trying to get a permit for his operation, he did not have all his permits so he should not have begun the operation.
