- Approximately 75-percent were housed in Santa Cruz county prior to becoming homeless
- Under one-third of the homeless population are experiencing a form of mental illness
What’s more is that 1-in-10 reported increasing rent led to them becoming homeless. This figure is nearly double compared to a similar study conducted last year.
