A man, who was convicted of a 1978 Capitola murder, has been denied parole once again. It’s the 11th time that Richard Ornellas has been denied parole, after he was convicted of binding, strangling, and beating a Capitola woman to death in her own home. That murder took place after Ornellas was discharged from parole in San Mateo county where he had assaulted a woman and sexually assaulted a minor. Ornellas has been diagnosed as a sexual psychopath.
