The San Lorenzo Valley Water District relies on P.G. & E. Power to run their 38 pump stations throughout the valley. Because of that, S.L.V.W.D. customers are asked to use their water conservatively during the Public Safety Power Shut-Off. The Water District does have generators that they can move to several pump station locations, however, they cannot provide power to all pump stations at the same time. That’s why health and safety should be the priority for water use.
They respectively request that people not water outside plants during the Public Safety Power Shut-Off, or any other extended power outage, in their service area.
