Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article regarding the B vitamins. Two different studies linked high blood levels homocysteine to an increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s. These high levels homocysteine are associated with inadequate dietary intakes of vitamins B2, B6, B9 and B12. Harvard University discovered that high levels of homocysteine can triple the risk of heart attack. Also increases the risk of stroke, atherosclerosis, erectile dysfunction, kidney disease, vascuar disease and retinopathy.
