The deadline for the comment period, about the Harm Reduction Coalition’s application for state certification, is this Friday. The coalition’s leader is Aptos resident Denise Elerick, and she has filed the application to have her mobile needle distribution program certified by the California Department Of Public Health, Office Of Aids. After Friday’s deadline, the Department Of Public Health will have 30 days to decide whether or not to certify the application.
If the Harm Reduction Coalition is certified by the state agency, the non-profit could seek grants, and solicit taxable donations.
