The Butte County Sheriff’s Department has ordered evacuations because of flash flooding in the area of the Camp Fire burn area.
Swift water rescue teams have been deployed to help people stranded in vehicles after significant rainfall in the Paradise and Chico area. Flooding is also occurring outside the burn.
No information is available on how many people have evacuated. Sheriff’s officials say people have been taken to a church in Chico.
