- Due to heavy rains last night and this morning, cal-trans closed Highway 1 at both the mud creek and paul slides. Gates (that are key-locked) are in place at both slides, and Nacimiento-Ferguson Road is now the alternate road into the area between the slides. Highway 1 (at both slides) will remain closed until cal-trans engineers can get out there, and check to see if the roadway is stable (and/or what repairs need to be made, so the highway can be re-opened).
- Coast road, between the Bixby Bridge and Andrew Molera State Park, is also closed today, due to the heavy rains in the area. This road runs parallel to Highway 1 for much of its length.
