A benefit event will be held Saturday to help pay medical expenses for Marciano “Chango” Cruz whose surfer’s ear and brain infection required emergency surgery. The event will be held at the Point at 8 AM. tomorrow.
Headed by the Big Stick Surf Association, The Aloha Benefit, will help raise funds for Cruz’s medical expenses and other financial struggles that became worse due to his inability to work. The event will be held at Pleasure Point Park on East Cliff Drive beginning at 8 AM.
