Friends and family of Asha Allott tell a Salinas TV station that the 19-year-old stabbing victim is expected to survive. Allott suffered stab wounds to the mid-section of her body while she was seated in the cafeteria at Cabrillo College yesterday morning. The man believed to be her attacker, 49-year-old Steven Wooding of Santa Rosa, is being held on $750,000 bond. The college had recently renewed a restraining order intended to keep Wooding away from the campus. Police say Wooding attacked a Cabrillo staff member in 1994 and spent several years in a psychiatric institution as a result.
