Cabrillo College counselors are on-hand today to help students and staff members process their reactions to yesterday’s stabbing of a 19 year-old student on the Aptos campus. The stabber, 49 year-old Steven Wooding, was detained by staff members after the incident, and then arrested and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail. Wooding, who is a former Cabrillo College student, spent several years in a psychiatric facility, after attacking a Cabrillo College teacher with a wooden ax-handle 14 years ago.
