Santa Cruz Police have arrested a 25-year-old man and charged him with vandalism and setting two small fires at the Tannery Arts Center on August 22.
Sunday afternoon, a police ranger spotted a man walking in the 100-block of Emmet Street who resembled the description of the arson suspect. The man, Eduardo Lopez, a transient in Santa Cruz, was matched to surveillance videos and arrested.
At the time of his arrest, Lopez had two outstanding warrants and was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail for arson and felony vandalism.
