The Santa Cruz SPCA is offering a free wellness clinic for the county’s fixed-income senior citizens – aged 62 and above – and their dogs and cats (no matter what age). The event takes place November 7th between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. There are only 16 places spots available and seniors may bring no more than two animals. A reservation is required.
Shelter Manager Mandi Hart says the clinic has a volunteer vet and costs for vaccines and supplies are paid by donors to a special fund. There are two of these events each year, but the SPCA would like to see them become monthly
Preregistration is a must and the event fills quickly. Call 465-5000 to reserve a spot for up to two pets.
