A bill, that has been signed into law, is designed to protect Monarch Butterflies, and other pollinators. It would do so by authorizing the Wildlife Conservation Board to provide grants and technical assistance to landowners (and other entities) that want to assist the Monarch Butterfly And Pollinator Rescue Program.
Conservationists fear that without such assistance, Monarch Butterflies, and several other species of pollinators, may become extinct on the West Coast within the next 20 years.
