A decision on the fate of the controversial Santa Cruz County rail could be made on December 6th. The Regional Transportation Commission is currently examining a 265 page analysis that provides the commission with four differently priced options for the rail corridor. The lowest cost option is a trail only proposal at almost 800 million dollars. Opponents of any rail traffic believe the actual price would be much lower.
