A former Santa Cruz neurosurgeon, and his co-defendants in a child abuse case, were back in a Santa Cruz County court room for their preliminary hearing yesterday. That hearing is slated to continue today, when the judge presiding in this case expects to review about 2 hours of video footage taken from 3 separate electronic devices.
Although James Kohut, Rashel Brandon and Emily Stephens sexually abused other children, they also sexually abused Brandon’s 9 year-old son, and Stephen’s 5 year-old girl and 3 year-old boy.
