Officials in Pacific Grove are recommending City Council approval of a controversial cellular communications tower. It would be built behind Pacific Grove High School and close to nearby Forest Grove Elementary School.
Councilmembers are expected to vote on the tower at their Wednesday meeting. Some neighbors are concerned about possible health dangers the cellular radiation might pose to students.
City staff have recommended that the council vote to approve the new cell tower. It would be located on the shoulder of Forest Lodge road.
