Officials with 2 local school districts are hoping that voters will approve measures that will be on the November ballot. The Scotts Valley Unified School District has Measure A, which would levy a $108-per-parcel tax for 5 years, to raise an estimated $820,000 dollars annually; while the Soquel Union Elementary School District is asking for approval of Measure B, which is a 6-year, $96-per-parcel-tax designed to raise $990,000 annually. Each measure requires a two-thirds majority to pass.
