A new hike and bike trail will soon open in Scotts valley. The Glenwood Preserve Trail is three miles long and was funded by the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County with help from the Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz and the City of Scotts Valley.
The formal opening date will be announced soon, the land trust said.
The main entrance to the trail will be on K-Street off Glenwood Drive past Scotts Valley High School.
Construction of five more miles of trails are expected to begin this winter.
