The Santa Cruz county fairground can now host up to four cannabis events each year under a move approved this week by Santa Cruz supervisors.
A temporary permit would be required for the events and comes with significant stipulations. The cannabis events also could not coincide with the annual Santa Cruz county fair.
The permits would allow sales of cannabis, smoking and vaping in specific outdoor areas. The first such event could be held next spring.
