Point Lobos Parking-8/11/18-1330-PMD

Over flow parking along Highway 1 for visitors of the Point Lobos State Natural Reserve has become a safety issue. The park is considered the top destination of all of California’s 280 parks with over a million visitors a year. The large volume of visitors is responsible for the long lines of parked cars on both sides of the narrow highway. A proposed 200 hundred space lot with an accompanying underpass across from the reserve is being reviewed. The project would alleviate foot traffic and parking along the roadway.
