The Santa Cruz City Council voted Tuesday night to conduct a study on the fiscal impact of the proposed rent control ballot. That report would look at how the impact of the proposition’s just cause eviction clause policy, the impact of an elected rent board and that board’s interaction with the city. City of Santa Cruz residents will vote on the measure in the fall election to determine the outcome.
