Mandatory Evacuation orders are in place for the 13,000-acre Pawnee Fire, burning northeast of the Clearlake Oaks portion of Lake County. More than 2,700 firefighters (including strike teams from the Monterey Bay Area) are working to put out the wildfire, that is considered to be 17 percent contained. The blaze has already destroyed 22 structures, and it is threatening 600 more.
