A Watsonville pedestrian was severely injured by a hit and run driver on Friday. Authorities say that shortly after 5 a.m. a 49 year old man was struck by a vehicle on the 900 block of Main Street. The victim was transported to a trauma center with severe injuries. Witnesses described the vehicle as a red sedan, possibly a Toyota. The car would have sustained front end damage. The victim is believed to been crossing the roadway without using a crosswalk.
