(11:00) Santa Cruz County – Santa Cruz city officials announced that Street Smarts, a Traffic Safety Campaign will be held next month. The mission of the Street Smarts public education campaign is to reduce the number of traffic-related crashes and injuries in the City of Santa Cruz. The campaign is designed for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians, and intends to improve the behavior of all three groups. The event will have games, raffle prizes, a free bike safety check, and a bike stunt show. The event will be held on Wednesday, September 13, at Kaiser Permanente Arena, and will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
