A Texas man, who was convicted last month of posing as a coin broker….and stealing a Santa Cruz couple’s gold coin collection….has been sentenced to 6 years behind bars. Donald Scott Rainey was found to be guilty of elder financial abuse and embezzlement. Rainey, and his partner Christopher Roberts, are said to have committed similar crimes on elderly couples in Kansas, Texas, Colorado, and Oregon.
