73 acres of the Carr Lake Basin in Central Salinas has been purchased by the Big Sur Land Trust. The deal was announced today at a press conference, in which the President of the Land Trust also said they plan to transform the dry lake bed into a “Central Park”. The project is also designed to address Ecological Restoration in the area, as well as Flood Control, and Water Quality Improvement.
