(08:15) Aptos – Santa Cruz Public Works have announced that Valencia road between trout Gulch Road and Aptos School Road is closed. The road has dropped approximately 12 inches in the past week and cracks are opening along the edges of the road. Residents and students (at Valencia School) can use Freedom Boulevard as an alternative route. Parents are encouraged to carpool and leave extra time for drop-offs and pick-ups .
