U.S. Educational Officials have rejected California’s request to skip standardized science testing for 2 years, (while a newer version of the test is tried out). Federal laws require that states administer annual tests in science, math and english, and so the U.S. Education Officials said that suspending the science test would deny schools, and families, the necessary data about science achievement.
