(09:00) Santa Cruz County – Transportation officials are conducting a study to determine how to make Highway 9 safer for pedestrians and drivers. To begin the study a community meeting was held (in the San Lorenzo Valley area) last night so that transportation officials could hear from residents on their ideas to improve Highway 9. The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission has received a $250,000 dollar Caltrans grant that will be used to make the improvements once the study is complete.
