October 6, 2016: Update: Soberanes Fire

(10:00) Monterey County – The Soberanes Fire that is burning in Monterey County is now 97 percent contained at 132,092 acres. The evacuation order has been reduced to a warning for Tassajara Road from Chews Ridge south to the end of the road at Tassajara Hot Springs. The main part of the Soberanes Fire is now burning in the steep, rocky area north of the Ventana Cone area.  The expected date for full containment is October 15th.
