(21:02) CALIFORNIA – Some elderly and/or disabled homeowners may be eligible to get their residential property taxes (to the county) temporarily paid by the state. The State Controller’s Property Tax Postponement Program, which was discontinued in 2009, has been re-instituted. Applicants who are 62 years-old or older, make $35,500 in annual income (or less), and have at least 40 percent equity in their home……could be eligible to get their taxes postponed until they move, sell the property, transfer the title, default on a senior lien, refinance, obtain a reverse mortgage, or die.
