(20:59) MONTEREY BAY AREA – Save Our Shores volunteers picked up 355 pounds of trash today from Davenport Main Beach, Cowell/Main, Sunny Cove, Corcoran Lagoon, and Del Monte Beach. Cowell/Main was the cleanest and Corcoran Lagoon was the worst. Volunteers believe Cowell was the cleanest because trash bags were handed out there on Monday. Cigarette butts were still the most prevalent item picked up. There were some unusual finds though…..a vacuum cleaner, some vinyl records, a whole Weber grill…..and a bag of edible medical cannabis candies.
