(11:00) Santa Cruz – The Santa Cruz Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed a man this morning (Tuesday). The incident occurred west of the Levee of the San Lorenzo River in Downtown Santa Cruz at 8:00. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the suspect was seen running north along the Levee towards Cathcart Street. The suspect is described as a transient who is Caucasian male in his late twenties to early thirties and was seen wearing a baseball cap, beige sweatshirt and dark pants. Police know who the suspect is, but are withholding his name at this time as well as the victims.
