June 22, 2016: Nurses Reach Tentative Agreement with Watsonville Community Hospital Officials Leading Up to Strike

(10:28) WATSONVILLE – Nurses at Watsonville Community Hospital have called off a planned two-day strike after reaching a tentative agreement with hospital representatives. The RNs were preparing to strike Wednesday and Thursday to protest worsening patient care standards and working conditions. Hospital officials met with the nurses Tuesday night and came to a tentative agreement, which addressed staffing concerns as well as took steps towards economic improvements and protection of health coverage. The RNs will vote on the proposed agreement this Friday. (S.G.)
