(07:45) SANTA CRUZ – The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors is beginning public hearings on its proposed budget this week. The county is anticipating spending around $696 million on a number of services and programs during its next fiscal year. Two public comment hearings will be held this week. The first will take place Monday at 7 p.m. at Watsonville City Council Chambers. The second will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at 701 Ocean Street in Santa Cruz. The hearings will continue through next week. (S.G.)
